Citilink to increase flights

JAKARTA: In order to maximize the use of its aircraft, low- cost carrier Citilink, a strategic business unit of national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, will increase its flight frequency to 32 flights per day.

An increase in utilization will eventually help improve the airline's operational efficiency as well as boost profit.

In its press statement issued on Tuesday, Citilink said the new flights would be available for six cities already served by the airline, including Jakarta, Surabaya, Ampenan, Balikpapan, Denpasar and Yogyakarta.

At present, Citilink operates four Boeing 737-300 with 148 seats. -- JP
