Cinema shut down for screening porn

MEDAN, North Sumatra: The Baghia cinema here been shut down for screening pornographic films, according to Medan Teladan police subprecinct.

The police said that during a raid on the cinema -- located on Jl. Menteng Simpang -- several days ago, they found that a porn film was being played to a packed audience.

Among those apprehended by the police were some young women who had attended the screening.

They were released by the police, after a lecture ordering them not to indulge in the pastime. During the raid, the police also seized one reel of film titled Miskin (Poor) and detained two film operators for questioning.
