Cinema shut down for screening porn

MEDAN, North Sumatra: The Baghia cinema here been shut down
for screening pornographic films, according to Medan Teladan
police subprecinct.

The police said that during a raid on the cinema -- located on
Jl. Menteng Simpang -- several days ago, they found that a porn
film was being played to a packed audience.

Among those apprehended by the police were some young women
who had attended the screening.

They were released by the police, after a lecture ordering
them not to indulge in the pastime. During the raid, the police
also seized one reel of film titled Miskin (Poor) and detained
two film operators for questioning.

The police are investigating the case. -- Antara
