CILECT conference in Jakarta
JAKARTA (JP): Centre International de Liaison et des Ecoles de Cinema et de Television (CILECT) has chosen Jakarta to play host to its second Asia Pacific Association conference from July 21 to 27.
The conference will bring together 24 delegates from 15 countries. It will focus on film and television systems and technology, human resources and training in adapting to current changes in the global film industry.
CILECT, a non-profit organization affiliated with UNESCO, was founded in May last year in Cannes, France, to improve cooperation among film and television institutes worldwide in order to enhance training, educational methods and systems.
CILECT Asia Pacific Association now has 17 film and television institute members from 61 institutes. Jakarta Institute of Arts is one of its permanent members.(als)
