Cilacap govt punishes employees

CILACAP, Central Java: Cilacap regency administration has
disciplined at least 340 civil servants during the past week for
playing truant during working hours.

Adi Saroso, secretary to the Cilacap regency administration,
said on Tuesday that the irresponsible civil servants had been
officially reprimanded, and harsher punishment would follow if
they repeated their misdeeds.

Most of the 340 civil servants, from a total of thousands in
the regency, were caught visiting markets during work hours. --
