Choir and duet at Erasmus

JAKARTA (JP): The St. Caecila Cathedral Choir is scheduled to perform today at the Erasmus Huis Dutch cultural center in South Jakarta.

The all-male choir, led by Tommy Prabowo, was set up in 1865. In 1985 the choir received an award from Pope Paul VI for its dedication to church music.

Tomorrow another concert is to be held at Erasmus, featuring a duet of Kurt Hess on the cello and Sue Loh on the piano.

The one-day performance of Hess, from Switzerland, and Loh, an Australian, will include works by Mendelssohn, Schumann and Paganini. (anr)
