China Trust-Tamara bank

JAKARTA (JP): China Trust Bank of Taiwan and Bank Tamara of Indonesia plan a joint-venture bank here.

Bank Tamara's president Pek Tek Beng was quoted by Antara as saying yesterday that China Trust had obtained approval from the Ministry of Finance to operate here through the joint venture.

The joint venture bank will open offices in three cities, Jakarta, Surabaya in East Java and Bandung in West Java, to cater for Taiwanese investors.
