Childrens Choir at Plaza Indonesia
JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Childrens Choir is to hold a two- day performance at Lamoda Cafe in Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta next week, according to Nama Communications.
The choir made an appearance Friday night but is scheduled to perform at the cafe tomorrow and on Wednesday, the firm's Laksmita Noviera said.
Established in 1992, the choir is now led by Aida Swenson and consists of 248 children aged between six and 16, she said.
She explained that the choir aims to provide opportunities for middle-and lower-class children to pursue extracurricular activities in music and singing. (hhr)
