Chicken pox breaks out

DEMAK, Central Java: The local health office has appealed for calm in face of an outbreak of chicken pox, now affecting dozens of people.

Hawik Pudjohastuti, head of the health office, said although there is no cure for the disease, it is not fatal.

Hawik said that the disease is common during a transition in the weather from dry to rainy season. (har/emb)
