Chase bankers visit orphanage
JAKARTA (JP): Chase Manhattan Bank employees took time off from their brain-racking money machine chores on Saturday by doing voluntary and charity work at the Tresna Putra Orphanage in Ciomas, Bogor. Their activities included cleaning, painting, gardening, repairing and distributing food and gifts to the orphans.
These activities marked Chase Jakarta's participation in the second annual Chase Global Day of Service (Oct. 26). Nearly 4,500 Chase employees and retired employees, along with their families and friends, in more than 50 U.S. cities and about 25 countries donated their time and talents to improve their communities.
"Chase Indonesia will always take an active part in activities such as this because it reflects the bank's commitment to improving the communities whey they have operations," said Morgan T. McCrath, Chase Senior Officer for Indonesia/Country Manager. (bas)
