Charoen units to go private

JAKARTA: Two subsidiaries of Thai conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Group plan to go private next month by buying its entire shares currently owned by the public.

The two companies are animal feed producer PT Central Proteinaprima and animal health products producer and distributor PT Surya Hidup Satwa.

In its reports to the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) on Friday Central will buy its shares from public investors at Rp 350 per share, with Surya Hidup at Rp 1,350. The two companies will offer its shares from Aug. 9 until Sept. 10, with payment on Sept. 22. -- JP
