Charles played a tragic part

Everybody knew Diana for her kindness, compassion and attention toward those suffering, and the fact that she was thrown out of the royal family.

If we take into account Diana's life we cannot deny that the root of her problem and the reason for her death was her unhappiness with her family life. As a woman, I would be very sad and disappointed if I were in Diana's shoes. I believe all women would feel the same.

I agree with Mrs. Tobing's comments in Kompas (Sept. 3) in which she said that the only thing Prince Charles can do now is acknowledge he let down Diana and their sons and forget about marrying Camilla Parker-Bowles. He should instead prove that he is not as bad as people think.
