Change of dates for phone bills payment

JAKARTA (JP): PT Telkom, the state-owned telecommunications company, announced yesterday that the dates for payment of this month's telephone bills, which usually runs from Nov. 5-20, have been rescheduled to Nov. 7-23.

This applies to customers living in Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Cibinong and Depok.

The change was made because of a new processing system for telephone bills.

In an effort to make payment easier, the company has established two payment systems: customers can pay their bills in cash at appointed bank counters or pay through the System On Line Payment (SOPP).

Under SOPP, customers can pay their bills at the appointed bank counters or at post offices appointed by PT Telkom.

One advantage of this system is that customers can choose the counters where they want to pay their telephone bills. (bas)
