Certificate for IPTN's unit

BANDUNG (JP): IPTN-Interiors, a subsidiary of state owned aircraft manufacturer PT Industri Pesawat Terbang Nusantara (IPTN), received on Saturday a maintenance license from the government.

The so-called Approved Maintenance Certificate from the directorate general of certification and airworthiness at the Ministry of Communication gives the rights for IPTN-Interiors to repair and refurbish aircraft interiors in the country.

The certificate was awarded by director general of certification and airworthiness Iing Iskandar in a ceremony in Bandung, West Java.

IPTN-Interiors, which has been operating since 1980, now has 102 employees, including 40 engineers.

IPTN-Interiors head Bagas Prasetyowibowo said the business unit also expected to obtain a certificate for aircraft interior manufacturing next year. (25/jsk)
