Century manages more hotels
JAKARTA (JP): Hong Kong-based hotel chain Century International Hotels will manage three more hotels in Indonesia, the hotel chain announced yesterday.
Two of the three hotels, which are all owned by PT Usaha Pariwisata Sukses, are located in Bali -- Hotel Bali Saphir in Kuta and Hotel Mabisa in Legian -- while the other one is Hotel Yogya International located in Yogyakarta.
Century's chief executive officer Brian Deeson said the names of the hotels had been changed to Century Saphir Bali, Century Mabisa Inn Bali and Century Saphir Yogyakarta.
Deeson told Antara news agency that though times were tough in Indonesia, Century International took on the challenge because it was confident that there would be an upturn in the country's economy in the near future.
The move brings Century's hotels in Indonesia to a total of six, with two more under development.
Century International currently manages three other hotels in Indonesia, including Hotel Atlet Century Park and Imperial Century Resort, both in Jakarta, and Hotel Century Menado in North Sulawesi.
The group manages 27 hotels in seven Asian countries under its corporate umbrella. (gis)
