The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Central Lombok, Lalu Firman Wijaya, was intensively questioned for about seven hours by prosecutors regarding alleged corruption in the procurement of dump trucks for the Environmental Agency (DLH) in the 2021 fiscal year, on Tuesday (5/5/2026). During the examination, Firman was asked more than 20 questions.

Observations showed that Firman exited the examination room around 1:10 PM WITA wearing a brown Daily Official Uniform (PDH). He was seen leaving without carrying anything as he headed to his vehicle.

Speaking to the media, Firman confirmed that he was examined by the prosecutor’s office regarding the DLH Central Lombok dump truck procurement currently being handled by investigators. He stated that the questions revolved around the status of the vehicles, whether they had been recorded as regional assets or not.

“I was asked about the procurement of vehicles in the Environmental Agency—whether they have been recorded as regional government assets or not. Because there are so many regional assets, information is needed,” he said after leaving the Central Lombok District Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday afternoon.

This Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) for Central Lombok emphasised that his summons related to that case. He mentioned that other matters discussed were merely coordination in his capacity as Sekda.

“That’s how it is (regarding the dump trucks). Other things are coordination-related, management of village budgets,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Intelligence Section (Intel) at the Central Lombok District Prosecutor’s Office, Alfa Dera, confirmed the examination of the Sekda by Special Crimes (Pidsus) investigators. He said the summons was to deepen the investigation into the alleged corruption in the 2021 DLH dump truck procurement.

“It is true that Special Crimes investigators summoned witness LFW (Lalu Firman Wijaya) in his capacity as a witness,” Dera stated.

According to him, the examination was conducted directly by the Head of the Pidsus Section at the Central Lombok District Prosecutor’s Office, Dimas Dimas Praja Subroto. During the session, Firman faced more than 20 questions related to state-owned goods.

“The latest information is about state-owned goods (dump trucks). From the investigators, more than 20 questions,” he added.

Dera explained that Firman was originally scheduled for examination last Wednesday but it was postponed because he had out-of-town commitments.

He added that the summons was in Firman’s capacity as Sekda, who also serves as Chairman of the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD).

“His capacity as Sekda; he was examined by the Pidsus Team. But we still respect the presumption of innocence,” he stressed.

According to Dera, the examination process will continue as the investigation progresses. It is possible that investigators will summon other parties for statements.

“As long as their statements are needed, they are equal before the law,” he concluded.

The case originated from the DLH Central Lombok operational vehicle procurement project in the 2021 fiscal year. The procurement included dump trucks and arm rolls for Pujut Subdistrict, as well as dump trucks for Praya Subdistrict.

The procurement was conducted through the Central Lombok Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) with a total budget ceiling of Rp 5.4 billion. One provider was selected as the auction winner with a contract value of around Rp 5.122 billion.

In March 2025, the Central Lombok District Prosecutor’s Office received a public report regarding alleged corruption in the project. The report was followed up with the issuance of Investigation Order Number Print-612/N.2.11/Fd.1/05/2025 dated 7 May 2025, which was later strengthened by a follow-up Investigation Order Number Print-1145A/N.2.11/Fd.1/06/2025 dated 12 June 2025.

The investigation results showed that the project provider had delivered six dump trucks and four arm rolls to DLH Central Lombok. However, the handover process, which should have been carried out by the Commitment Making Official (PPK), was not fully implemented according to regulations.

Additionally, discrepancies with legal regulations were found, including the failure to attach vehicle ownership evidence in the procurement documents. Based on these findings, investigators escalated the case to the investigation stage.
