Center to host talk by culture expert

The Indian Cultural Center Bali plans to hold a special lecture titled India and South East Asia -- Exploring the Cultural Linkages, presented by Prof. Sachchidananda Sahai, Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies in Simla, India.

The lecture will be given at the center, Jl Raya Puputan 42 to 44, Renon, Denpasar, on March 18, at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Prof Sahai is an internationally acknowledged expert on southeast Asian culture. His academic training was at Banaras Hindu University. He continued his studies at the Sorbonne, Paris, where he specialized in the epigraphy of Cambodia, Java and Bali.

He is now working on a comparative study of southeast Asian culture.

After completing his recent field work in ASEAN countries (Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam), Prof Sahai is visiting Bali.
