Cellular phones help history

In today's society cellular phones have become a way of life. In some ways, though, they have become an annoyance.

Many use their mobile phones at inappropriate times and places, for example, during meetings, while driving a car, not to mention while watching a movie.

On the other hand, the benefits of these communication devices, far outweigh the disadvantages. In the case of the World Trade Center tragedy, for instance, a mobile phone was a crucial communication device that enabled us to get the inside story of the catastrophe. One was able to phone a relative. Another managed to report to the public on the tragic events taking place inside the building. And those who faced their final moments had a chance to communicate with their loved ones minutes or seconds before they left this world. So these magical devices have helped history to give us a clear picture of what we were not aware of and could not see.
