CB broadcasting

Our neighbor is using a CB Broadcasting System (there is no display of a license registration number on his premises). For this purpose he has installed special antennas which look like a mini TVRI station reaching to the sky. I believe they are called "Spliterons."

The effect of these antennas is devastating. Our 29" Metz Classic Stereo CTV has blacked out, with damage to its tuner and memory IC. The effect on our JVC 18" CTV has been continuous blacking out, sputtering with horizontal lines, a snow effect and flashes -- all of which happens as soon as the neighbor is on his CB hotline. Unfortunately for us it usually coincides with our prime time family viewing from 7 p.m. to around 10 p.m. The effect is shattering on VCR equipment.

The purpose of this letter is to enquire if there is any law which prohibits or controls the installation of such equipment, which is damaging to neighboring household electronics.
