Capital promotion course

JAKARTA (JP): The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), yesterday started a three-week investment promotion course to help improve the services of provincial officials for investors.

The training, which was officially opened here yesterday by the deputy chairman of the board, Sugihono Kadarisman, is participated in by around 50 officials from the board's provincial offices.

The training will feature experts form Singapore's Economic Development Board, professors of the University of Indonesia and BKPM's senior officials as speakers.

Yesterday's opening ceremony was attended by Anders O. Frismark, deputy to the UNDP's Chief Representative, and Ratna Juwita Wahab, the National Development Planning Board's (Bappenas) head of trade, cooperatives and business development affairs. (fhp)
