Campaign stop starts in hospital

JAKARTA: Jusuf Kalla, the running mate of presidential candidate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, visited on Monday the Sitanala Leprosy Hospital in Tangerang municipality as part of a campaign stop in Banten province.

Kalla and his entourage arrived at the hospital at 9 a.m. and were received by hospital director Dr. Johan Saleh. Kalla then toured the hospital and met with about 70 of its patients.

He ended his campaign stop in the province by visiting the tomb of Sultan Maulana Yusuf, a local leader who died in 1572. -- Antara
