Cahyana to lead postal firm

JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications Joop Ave is expected next week to install new directors of the state-owned postal firm, which has been renamed from Perum Pos dan Giro into PT Pos Indonesia.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications, Sjamsudin Tanuatmadja, was quoted by Antara as saying Thursday that Cahyana Ahmadjayadi, currently commerce director of the company, will be installed as the firm's new president to replace Marsoedi, who will be appointed as a commissioner.

Sjamsudin said the minister will also install H. Sukaton, Hidayat, S.M. Hutagaol and Sumitro Rustam as the company's directors.

The company has been renamed after its status was changed by the government into a limited liability corporation and assigned it to be profit-oriented while serving the public.(31)
