C. Java yet to receive SEAG funds from KONI
SEMARANG (JP): The National Sports Council's (KONI) Central Java chapter has not yet received financial support from KONI despite having already staged the first phase of 2001 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games training, which ended in December.
The chapter's official in charge of media and promotion, Farchan, said on Tuesday that none of the athletes have received their monthly allowance for the training program.
"Athletes have been asking for their allowance because they have joined the training program for three months but received nothing," he said.
Eighty three athletes and four coaches from 19 sports in Central Java were appointed by KONI to join the decentralized training program. (har)
