C. Java targeting three cyclist for SEA Games

SEMARANG (JP): The Indonesian Cycling Association (ISSI) Central Java chapter is targeting three of its seven cyclists to join the country's 2001 Kuala Lumpur Southeast Asian (SEA) Games squad.

"We hope at least three cyclists would be able to join the country's main team for the SEA Games," said the chapter official in charge of athlete development, Seno Soedamar, on Thursday.

The seven cyclists are Nurrahman, Andi Wibowo, Febiyanto and Mujiono in the men's division and they will compete in track events. Sri Suharmi and Rini Suyatni are in the women's division and they will race in the off-road events.

"It's very difficult to qualify for the national team as our cyclists will have to compete against cyclists from West Java, Jakarta and East Java," Seno said. (har)
