C. Java stages tennis c'ships

SEMARANG (JP): The Indonesian Tennis Association (Pelti) Central Java chapter will stage the Central Java Governor's Cup national championships early next month.

"The Championships are to search for young talents to prepare them for international tournaments," said an official in charge of athletes development, Tri Nurharsono, on Saturday.

He expects the number of participants to increase from the 100 players in last year's event. (har)
