Busway offers school visits

JAKARTA: TransJakarta wants more elementary school students to
use its busway routes and is offering to visit schools to promote
the idea of safe and efficient public transport, the company
says.

Company general manager Irzal Djamal said the staff from the
company would share their experiences with children about riding
busway buses.

Staff would explain the company's vision for public transport
and educate children on how to travel politely and safely, he
said.

The company had transported more than 2,000 students to and
from elementary schools since January.

"We normally prepare a tour guide to help children learn more
about the transportation," Irzal said.
