Busway and traffic congestion

Tired of writing and talking about the subject, we have to swallow what is forced down our throats. Not for the good of the majority of the citizens, but for the benefit of the few that are engaged in this "project".

The chaos however, will prevail, as long as the police cannot handle the existing misbehavior and non-existent discipline of public transportation drivers. Are the police scared of them? They look the other way when these drivers disobey regulations and orders. The police should be consistent. The police should take away their driver's licenses and force them to sit the driving test again before letting them back on the roads again. Never mind that the drivers will not be able to work for several days because of this. Because, if they followed the regulations, they would not have their licenses taken away! It is as simple as that. I travel regularly from Grogol to Kebayoran and it is a nightmare! From Semanggi to Grogol it can take me 2 hours in 1st and 2nd gear, ruining my clutch and wasting my gasoline. It's the same story if I take the alternative route via Roxi.

Give the traffic-police a daily "on the road" bonus of Rp 20.000. -- that would mean for 25 working days in a month additional take home pay of Rp 500.000. -- which might spur the officers to do their jobs properly without just daring to catch drivers consisting of single women and old men for minor mistakes, and otherwise playing "blind". The money is actually there and would be wisely spent on such a drive to enforce discipline instead of splashing out billions on the Busway and restricting sole drivers, who nevertheless pay annual vehicle taxes and should be allowed to drive without restriction on the most convenient road they choose to their planned destinations.
