Bustanil acquitted of Bulog charges
JAKARTA: The Attorney General's Office has halted the investigation into former head of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) Bustanil Arifin for alleged corruption, due to insufficient evidence.
The office said in a statement that there were as yet no regulations that govern the use of non-budgetary funds belonging to the agency and, therefore, Bustanul could not be held accountable.
Bustanil was accused of corrupting the agency's non-budgetary funds that cost the state Rp 14.8 billion (US$1.82 million), during his term between 1988 and 1993. -- Antara
