'Business Review' to give awards

JAKARTA: For the second year, businesses and individuals deemed as role-models will be given awards by Business Review, a local magazine focusing on state enterprises.

"A total of 16 companies and 11 individuals have been selected as nominees, based on questionnaires sent to 144 executives of noted companies," said Lutfi Handayani, the chief editor of the magazine, which claims a circulation of 10,000.

A panel of 14 judges will interview all nominees this week with the awards to being handed over next Thursday.

The two individual awards are for "man of the year" and "best analyst/observer".

The five corporate awards are for human capital management, corporate governance implementation, management performance, stock performance and best fostering of small and medium enterprises. -- JP
