Busan Asiad medalists to get prizes

JAKARTA: Sentul International Circuit Management has promised
to award motorcycles to Indonesian athletes who can win medals at
the upcoming Asian Games in Busan, South Korea.

There are three types of motorcycles to be awarded to gold,
silver, and bronze medalists. Their were no details about the
prices.

The motorcycles were displayed at Tee Box Cafe in South
Jakarta during a gathering attended by Sentul officials, board
members of the National Sports Council (KONI) and several
athletes.

Sentul chairman Tinton Soeprapto, who is a former national
driver, said that he hoped the promised gifts would motivate
athletes to win as many medals as possible at the Asian Games,
which will run from Sept. 29 to Oct. 14.

Around 100 athletes are currently training to compete in 20
events in Busan. KONI has previously said it had set aside Rp 250
million in cash bonuses for gold medalist. --JP
