Bus torched after minor accident

JAKARTA (JP): Taman Sari residents torched a bus on Monday,
after it accidentally hit a bajaj (three-wheeled taxi) on Jl.
Mangga Dua Raya, Pinangsia area, West Jakarta.

The Mayasari bus no. 609, which serves the Kota-Pulogadung
route, nudged the side of a passing bajaj in a minor accident at
about 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, West Jakarta Police chief Col. Adjie
Rustam Ramdja said.

The bajaj driver was not badly hurt in the accident, driving
on after it seemingly unconcerned.

"We did not even get the name of the bajaj driver. But the
accident angered nearby residents. They beat up the bus's driver,
Sukesna, very badly, before setting fire to the bus," Adjie said.

"It was just crazy." (ylt)
