Burned baby girl dies

BOGOR: A toddler who fell into a pot of hot water died on
Sunday after two days of treatment at the Indonesian Red Cross
Hospital in Bogor.

Yudi Hartono, 24, said the incident happened Friday morning as
his wife was boiling water to be used to bath the child, Windi
Triani.

Windi's mother put the pan on the floor and left the toddler
in the kitchen while she went to another part of the house.

Windi tried to stand and walk, but she slipped and fell in the
pot. The victim, with blisters all over her body, was rushed to
hospital.--JP
