'Bule' surcharge?

On June 30 my daughter had two wisdom teeth extracted at RS International Bintaro. The whole procedure took less than 15 minutes. The bill for this was an astonishing Rp 3 million plus Rp 78,000 for medical equipment. My wife called Dr. Ronny Corputty and inquired why the charges were so high. His answer was that this was his normal charge and he mentioned another hospital (RS Medistra), which charges Rp 2.5 million per tooth.

In contrast, weeks ago my stepson had two wisdom teeth extracted at RS Bintaro for Rp 400,000 in total, including medical equipment. Perhaps, the doctor gave my daughter a "Bule surcharge".
