Buildings with best management

JAKARTA (JP): The professional management of office buildings is an important consideration of firms in their selection of office space, according to a property consultant.

"Companies, particularly foreign firms, seek office space in buildings which they believe to be professionally managed," Craig A. Phillips of international property consultant PT First Pacific Davies Indonesia said.

Developers, he said, should review the standards of building management which they apply.

A release from the company offered tips for aspiring tenants. It said tenants should first recognize three types of building management -- buildings with in-house management, those managed by local consultants and buildings managed by international property consultants.

Another tip was that tenants should check the experience of the management, and their familiarity with the management of superblocks, large retail centers and other functions of commercial buildings. (anr)
