Buffalo may not be best friend

SERANG, West Java: A water buffalo has killed its 65-year-old owner whose love for the animal earned him the nickname "grandpa shepherd" in his village.

He died Wednesday morning when the buffalo was hit by a speeding bus while it ran across a road dragging Jamud, who was holding its lead tightly.

Jamud died on the way to hospital and his buffalo suffered a broken leg, Antara reported. (pan)
