BSD launches new housing

JAKARTA: The developer of Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City on Sunday launched a 80-hectare housing complex in Tangerang, Bante, which it expects to build over the next three years.

The new housing estate, named De Latino, consists of 12 clusters using Latin American names like Hacienda Mexicano, Santiago District, Brazilian Flamengo, Rio de Brazilla, and Caribbean Resort.

PT BSD promotion manager Puti Cahyanthi said on Sunday that to develop the new housing complex in the southern part of the city, the company will be investing Rp 100 billion (US$10.75 million).

She said houses would be built on 60 percent of the allocated lands, while another 40 percent would be used for general and public facilities.

According to Puti, the first stage of houses could be occupied by mid-2006. --Antara
