BSD houses facing demolition

TANGERANG (JP): At least 10 houses in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) real estate complex are facing imminent demolition after the West Java High Court has granted an appeal sought by Rusli Wahyudi and declared a disputed land where the houses stand belongs to him.

The panel of judges presided over by Ngakan Nyoman Rai asked the Tangerang land agency office to revoke land use certificates granted to two BSD subsidiary firms over a total of 2.5 hectares of plot they claimed to have bought from heirs of The Kim Tin, Rusli's lawyer I Wayan Sudirta said on Tuesday.

Rusli, who also claimed to have purchased the land from The in 1993, lost the case at the Tangerang District Court in 1999. (41)
