Broke asthmatic found hanging

KENDAL, Central Java: An asthmatic man was found hanging in
his kitchen after complaining his acute illness had made him
penniless and miserable.

Karimin Susanto, 42, was found by his son in the kitchen at 1
a.m. Wednesday, only several hours after the father had grumbled
to relatives about his hard life.

His son, Parno, told Antara that his father had told him he
was desperate because there was no sign his asthma could be
relieved as he could no longer afford to buy the expensive drugs.

"He had tried traditional herbal medicines but to no avail,"
Parno said. (pan)
