JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A video statement from one of the assailants who attacked Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Ronald A Sinaga, alias Bro Ron, circulated on social media on Tuesday (5/5/2026). In the video, the assailant explained the background leading to the assault. According to the assailant, it began when he was verbally abused by Ronald. The assailant also claimed that he was punched in the solar plexus by Ronald. When confirmed by Kompas.com, Ronald denied this. “Racist statements are impossible. My driver was at the scene and is from the same ethnic group as them,” he added. Ronald stated that the altercation with the assailant occurred because the assailant wanted to secure the MPP law firm offices. “We don’t forbid them from securing the office, but our SKS colleagues objected to leaving the fourth floor of the building,” Ronald added. Previously, Ronald A Sinaga or Bro Ron was assaulted by two men at the MPP law firm offices on Jalan Soeroso, Cikini, Menteng sub-district, Central Jakarta, on Monday (4/5/2026). “I was accompanying them regarding employee salary issues and accountability for PT SKS company funds amounting to Rp 9 billion,” Ronald said when confirmed by Kompas.com on Tuesday. It is suspected that MPP controls PT SKS’s finances. According to Ronald, MPP is the legal advisor to PT SKS.
