Briton robbed in Serpong

TANGERANG: Two unidentified robbers riding a motorcycle robbed an Englishman here near Gading Serpong housing complex on Jl. MH. Thamrin on Tuesday morning.

Tangerang Police deputy chief Comr. Paulus Water Paw said the victim, John Glenn Daining Wilson, 60, was heading for his office in the housing complex, driving a Timor sedan at about 11:30 a.m. when the car had a flat tire.

Wilson, a construction consultant, then stopped at a tire repair shop, and got out of the car while carrying his briefcase.

Two man who had been following the victim on a Yamaha RX King motorcycle stopped in front of him and snatched the briefcase.

The victim lost US$100 cash, an Acer laptop, two plane tickets for Singapore and Taiwan, his passport and several important documents, according to police.-- JP
