Britain offers scholarships
JAKARTA: The British Embassy offers scholarship programs for Indonesians to study for one year at post-graduate level in the United Kingdom.
The Chevening Award scheme, with a total of 60 scholarships, is scheduled for the 1998-99 academic year.
British Ambassador Graham Burton announced yesterday that the program demonstrated London's commitment to helping develop Indonesia's human resources.
Scholarship applicants should be less than 40 years of age, possess a first degree, have promising career prospects and be fluent in spoken and written English. Applications are due Feb. 17. (01)
