Bridge pairs groom for U.S. Open

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Contract Bridge Association
(Gabsi) is preparing three partnerships to play in the U.S. Open
in July in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Indonesia has participated in the championships for the last
three years, which plays the best partnerships and teams from
several countries," the chairman of Gabsi's North Sulawesi
chapter, Hengky Lasut, was quoted as saying by Antara news agency
from Manado, North Sulawesi.

"Indonesia will field Hengky Lasut and Eddy Manoppo, Franky
Karwur and Denny Sacul, and Sance Panelewen and Robert Tobing,"
Hengky said.

Last year, Hengky and Eddy finished in the top-10. (nvn)
