BPPT to hold technology expo

JAKARTA: The Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) will hold research innovation and technology activities aimed at promoting the agency's research findings, deputy assistant for science and technology promotion Finarya Legoh said on Thursday.

Finarya said that the activities would include, among other things, exhibitions, seminars and workshops and an innovation and business competition.

An exhibition and seminar will be held in cooperation with the Association of Indonesian Inventors at Gran Melia Hotel in Jakarta from March 18 to March 20, she said.

The business and innovation competition will be held during this month, while the workshops will be held from May 6 to May 8, she added.

Entitled: Commercialized Innovation and Technology Diffusion, the exhibition will prioritize research findings on food, biotechnology, maritime activities, energy, manufacturing, and information technology.

"The events are expected to be attended by participants from various institutions, including private and state universities," Finarya said. -- JP
