Boy dies after fall from train

BOGOR (JP): A junior high school student, Faisal Yusuf, died after falling from a train heading for Bogor on Monday.

Faisal, 13, boarded the train from Citayam in Depok by climbing onto the wagon's roof.

"He was trying to get down when the train was approaching the Bojong Gede station," his friend Dina Nurdiana, who boarded the same train, said.

"But as he made his way down, the speeding train made a sharp turn and he lost his grip on the window. Faisal instantly fell on the ground," Dina, who witnessed the incident, said.

Locals immediately tried to save him, but Faisal reportedly died on the way to the nearby hospital.

Faisal's body was taken to PMI Hospital in Bogor and was later buried by his family in Citayam. (21/edt)
