Boxing at Jakarta Fair

JAKARTA (JP): Visitors can get a chance to practice boxing at a ring erected at the Jakarta Fairgrounds starting today. Organizers said amateur boxing sessions will run until Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, organizers of the fair in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, will also hold a one-day session of professional boxing matches. But names of boxers have not been revealed.

Boxing promoter Tourino Tidar said boxers would compete for the Jakarta Fair Cup and hoped the first boxing event held at the annual fair could be a regular attraction.

Also on Thursday, try your luck at a "cooking while walking" competition from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. (anr)
