Bouraq airlines

I have heard over the years many uncomplimentary things about
Bouraq such that I felt it time to write and correct this. I have
now traveled four times by Bouraq in the last three months, and
have nothing but praise for the airline.

Particularly I would mention two months ago my experience in
Batam. This was at the height of the haze/smoke problem. The
plane was due out at 3:55 p.m. The airport had been closed in the
morning because of haze; it was again closed at 3:30 p.m. because
of rain which flooded everywhere. It was re-opened at about 5
p.m., but it was very hazy and getting dark. Garuda, Merpati and
Sempati canceled all their flights, but good old Bouraq still
kept going. The plane duly landed, and we took off at about 8
p.m. Never mind being late, we passengers were looked after in
difficult circumstances.

Apart from that, the flights have been right on time, the
cabin crew most courteous, and the snacks just as good as on
other airlines.
