Book reunites labor ministers

JAKARTA: Former director general of industrial relations and
labor standards Payaman Simanjuntak launched on Monday his latest
book in the presence of three former and one current labor
minister.

The book had nothing to do with the ministers, Payaman said at
the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration headquarters."But I
am proud they are present at the book launch. This book reunites
us."

Manpower minister Fahmi Idris and three former ministers,
Sudomo, Mohammad Sadli and Awaluddin Djamin were included in the
group of officials that attended the event.

At the launch, the Ecclecia church choir sang five songs
composed by Payaman.

The book, titled Manajemen dan Evaluasi Kinerja (management
and performance appraisal), is one of several books on industrial
relations and human resource management Payaman, a professor of
economics at Jakarta's Krisnadwipayana University, has written.
