Bombs on Christmas eve

As an Indonesian born and brought up here, I refuse to believe that the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) had such lousy intelligence services that they failed to pick up information on preplanned bomb attacks on Christmas Eve, beforehand. That is a farce.

No sane Indonesian will believe that a preplanned attack on churches nationwide, on Christmas Eve, which involved bombs made of military explosives, was information that slipped through TNI and Polri intelligence services, and therefore, I also refuse to believe that the President was not aware of such a conspiracy.

No intelligent words from the President or anyone else, can breathe life into the dead, or erase the burn scars on the bodies of people who were injured in the blasts.

Politicians -- civilian or military -- are responsible for this act, and not men or women of religion. No God-fearing person would have committed what was committed.

Nobody will and nobody should forget what happened on Christmas Eve.

Politics is a virtue, and it is about people taking care of the needs of other people, but it is because of politicians, that people were killed in such an unbelievable manner.
