Bomb threats in Jakarta

Regarding the bombing on Sept. 9, I only have to say that it is quite sad how the Indonesian authorities are handling current terrorist bomb threats, given the fact that Indonesian authorities have had information from USA and Australia of possible bomb threats in Jakarta.

How many more innocent people have to die or have to be injured until someone actually does something? What exactly have the Indonesian authorities done to prevent incidents like these up to now? Why is it, that terrorists linked to the al-Qaeda network still runs freely and bombs innocent people? Why are the authorities not doing anything? As Indonesia still has not recovered from the monetary crisis; one big riot in 1998; and several bombings since then, the authorities are doing absolutely nothing to stop this crisis. Are Indonesian tax payers not paying enough or why are they still in this sort of tenang saja (remain calm) attitude?

What exactly are they scared of? Isn't it sad enough to have people die and injured in Jakarta? These bombings are certainly not helping the Indonesian economy nor the Indonesian tourism nor is it shining a good light on our beautiful country.
