Bomb discovered at Palu school

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Police have a found a bomb at a Palu school on Monday after a threat was made against it earlier in the morning.

Edward, a school administrator at the State Senior High School II said he had received a call from a woman, saying that she had placed a bomb somewhere in the school and would explode it soon.

Edward called in the police to defuse the bomb.

After combing the school area, the police discovered a package containing a battery, cable, some unidentified black powder and a three-meter long plastic pipe, two centimeters in diameter in a toilet at the school. -- JP
