Bogor's tourism potential

From Merdeka

The epithets of Bogor, 'rain town' and 'gate of West Java', need 'city of tourism' added to them. The latter epithet may already be Bogor's but its potential has remained unfulfilled.

As it is, Bogor, with its botanical garden, well-known the world over, makes hardly any impression on tourists. What we have is houses pressing against each other, clogged traffic and hot air. Even the rain is reluctant to fall.

It would be a good thing to plan which sites will be developed in priority to support Bogor's identity as a tourist city.

Without adequate planning all efforts will be useless and Bogor will become no more than a ghost town, only a stopping place from Jakarta to West Java and the opposite direction.
